Job Overview: Systems Specialist

The Systems Specialist will support and manage the company’s Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure it runs efficiently and supports employee training and development.

The role combines technical system management with learning technology, ensuring that training programs are delivered smoothly and that digital learning tools align with company goals.

Key Responsibilities

The Systems Specialist will be responsible for a variety of technical and operational duties, including:

Learning Management System Administration

• Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) and maintain user accounts.

• Configure system settings and ensure the platform operates efficiently.

• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues when necessary.

Data Management & Reporting

• Build and maintain reporting dashboards.

• Ensure accurate data input and support data extraction for analysis.

• Generate reports on training participation, course completion, and learning effectiveness.

Content Management

• Upload and organize learning materials such as videos, documents, and online courses.

• Integrate digital learning content into the LMS platform.

Technical Support

• Provide support to employees and training specialists experiencing system challenges.

• Assist stakeholders in uploading learning materials and understanding system updates.

Learning Analytics

• Track user engagement and participation in training programs.

• Analyze feedback and outcomes to improve learning initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Full Grade 12 School Certificate

• Minimum Diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field

• At least 2 years of experience in:
• Data analytics

• Business intelligence

• Or a related role

Additional Advantages

The following skills will be considered an added advantage:

• Experience with L&D systems such as Damstra or SAP

• Knowledge of eLearning authoring tools

• Understanding of data governance and system integration
